Mondello Performance Products is recognized nationally for manufacturing engines and engine parts for Oldsmobile vehicles to be used for drag racing, high performance, marine, and street racing as well as regular street driving applications. For almost four decades, Mondello Performance Products has been a leader in manufacturing Oldsmobile engine parts ranging from cooling systems, electrical systems, bolt kits, and gaskets and sealants, to crank shafts, engine blocks, rods, and accessories.

Established in 1974, the company was founded by Joe Mondello, a man whose name is synonymous with racing. Mr. Mondello was exposed to automobiles and the sport of racing at a young age. Before the age of 17, he had already worked with some of the finest engine builders, assisting them with relieving and porting flat head blocks for Ford vehicles. While working for renowned car manufacturer and racecar driver Carroll Shelby, Mr. Mondello built engines and performance heads that were used to win the Le Mans Grand Prix, and that were also utilized exclusively by sprint cars and Indy cars. Today, the combustion chamber, also known as the “posi-flow” chamber that Mr. Mondello designed is still utilized in cylinder heads found in Chevy cars. He designed these open chamber cylinder heads even before Chevy did.

Since the early days and for the past 39 years, Mondello Performance Products has established a reputation for manufacturing only the finest quality high performance engines and engine parts. The company has been featured in industry publications such as All Chevy, Car Craft, JP Magazine, Muscle Car Review, and Popular Hot Rodding.

The company is headquartered in Paso Robles, California and is an affiliate member of the Oldsmobile Club of America.
